This is a really great book; I had a ton of Aha moments while reading this 105 page book. 

  1. Share your Dreams! – Most people keep their dreams to themselves for many reasons.

They are afraid of what people will say, people who know them the best, people who has seen them fail before, people who knows what mistakes they have made and assume that means they cannot do it.

They are afraid that they may be expected to do something about it or they may be held accountable for their dreams.

I’ve always been afraid that if I say my biggest dream too loudly or to too many people, that someone will steal my dream and I will be left with nothing. (Pretty selfish of me, huh?)

2. Discover what you are passionate about. It gives you examples of how to realize what you are passionate about.

Memories of when you felt joyful and enthusiastic or at peace.

Follow your feelings and look for a common thread.

Times in your life when you felt the most alive, what were you doing?

3. C-B-A’s for Achieving Your Dreams

Clearly Define Your Dreams(Get them out of your head and onto paper)

Believe In Your Dreams(Overcome limiting beliefs)

Act On Your Dreams(Take Action, create a strategy)

4. Deal with your self-doubt. Doubt is inevitably going to rear its ugly head and the absolute best thing to do is to hear it out, allow it to give you a list of obstacles that you can manage later. If you just ignore your doubt, the moment someone else shares their doubts about your dream with you, it will just magnify yours.

5. Use your unique gifts to barter or trade to make amazing things happen for you, do not allow money to be an obstacle that stands in your way.

6. The direct selling world is an industry that Dreams!

7. How to Build your Dream Circle.

Identify your compelling reason/purpose for doing this.

Find a powerful way to share your story.

Be clear about where you need help and who can assist you.

Don’t play small. Use all your resources.

Recognize who will be ongoing members.

Set up a system for continual support and accountability.

As your dream continues to grow, keep your eyes open for new team members.

No Complaining, Only Optimism & Positive Affirmations

According to the English American Dictionary, to “affirm” is to state that something is true. *To me means an affirmation can be a negative statement*

9-27-19 – *Someone told me that I looked tired this morning and I responded by saying, “I’m always tired”. That was very negative, not true and a negative affirmation that I often use. I will never use that statement again.

*I also said,” I hate waking up early.” Which is something I do not like doing but I dislike a little less depending on the reason. It is also very negative and a negative affirmation that I use often. I will never use that statement again.

10/2/19 – *I promised my 3 year old, on Monday, that I would let him ride his bat-mobile to the neighborhood park, on Wednesday(Today). While there I remember thinking how hot it was and when it was time to leave I also remember thinking how tired I was, how the sun was sucking all of the life out of me lol. That is very negative and not true, the sun doesn’t suck the life out of me. I will never speak or think, “I am tired” ever again… I’m pretty sure it makes me tired or more tired.

10/9/19 – LOL again today, someone said I look tired and I again responded by saying, “I’m always tired.” I knew I was not supposed to say that as soon as I said it. I will improve my posture so that I don’t look as tired and make it a point to never use that response again. From now on if someone says I look tired I will respond by saying, “Really? I feel like I have more energy than my 3 year old”. Which, on a side note, would have to be a ton of energy because that little boy is on 10 from the moment he wakes up to the moment he closes his big beautiful eyes!

How Many Hospitals Do We Really Need?!

As I said before I have a ton of things I want to accomplish. I know that I want to open a nonprofit organization.

I’m not really sure what yet, it might be my after school program and I will talk about that at a later time but maybe just help someone else who wants to start a non profit. I have a friend who had an amazing idea for a nonprofit organization and I always thought that I will open or help them open a nonprofit organization but unfortunately I cannot remember who that person was LOL but hopefully over time I will remember.

I definitely want to open a hospital as well. It would be a maternity hospital, I never liked having my baby in the hospital, even though I actually didn’t it was separate from the hospital but it was too close for my comfort.

But this hospital is going to be huge and literally cater to pregnant women and their families. It will hold OB/GYN offices and all the different options a woman has to give birth nowadays.

Definitely have much better food then hospitals and just be centered around pregnant woman I guess. Which is great because I also want to open up my own OB/GYN practice as well. I mean I was going to school to be an obstetrician and one of my goals was to open up my own practice.

So I still would like to do that I just don’t plan to work in it, to be completely honest I never planned on working in my practice I was already planning on hiring people to do that LOL but now I can open a practice inside of my hospital, which will be awesome!

I’m already 31 so I definitely need to get on it and I will, as soon as my Lifestyle Business takes off I am good, I will talk about that later 😉

I was supposed to be the family doctor…

But that’s what I always said I was going to be. Once I realized my first dream to be the first woman to play for the NFL was not going to happen! I decided to think more on the practical side.

My first thought was to become a teacher because I love kids right. But then when I was in the fifth grade I realize that the kindergartners were bigger than me and they were mean! So yeah that wasn’t gonna work and OMG these kids these days are much worse.

I kind of was lost at that point until I started watching the Cosby show and noticed that Bill Cosby worked from his home a lot and he had his own office and I was always like what does he do because I want to do that! Come to find out he was an obstetrician and I looked it up and was like that is perfect. I mean I love kids but I don’t want to give them shots so I can’t be a pediatrician but I can definitely take care of a pregnant mom and birth the child for them and hand the baby off to the pediatrician, plus I hate it to watch stuff where doctors would be so rough with newborns while delivering them it just annoyed the crap out of me.

And so that was my dream from middle school through high school. I then spent 4 years at a community college, part time, in Maryland and then I spent 4 years part time in Charlotte UNCC as a biology major. The funny thing is I didn’t want to be a doctor, I I just think the body and the way it works is very interesting. But I had already told everyone I was gonna be a doctor and my grandma told everyone at church that I was going to be a doctor. So whenever I went to church they would say hey Doc this or hey Doc that. I felt like I was stuck so I tried to stick it out. To make it easier on myself I said that I would become a doctor and start my own practice and hire people to work there so that I didn’t have to work there. It was simply not what I wanted to do.

One day I was talking to my mom on the phone while walking to class and I hadn’t done my homework I hadn’t studied for like a quiz or a test and she was just like it doesn’t seem like you really want to do this. And I was like wow I really don’t but I’ve already told everybody and grandma‘s telling everybody. My mom said well guess what, you are the one who will have to live with this, you’re the person who will end up being unhappy so don’t worry about everybody else they’ll be OK they’ll get over it. Which they did LOL. No one calls me Doc anymore, thank God!

That day when she said that I literally and I mean literally turned my little butt around and went home and dropped every one my classes, I just needed a break or something. I’m still going to open a medical practice someday but I’m still not gonna be the one working in it but I would still love to have my own practice it just sounds like cool you know, boss, the bomb.com. And I’m definitely going to go back and finish my biology degree, I only have about five classes left so I owe that to myself to get my bachelors.

But I definitely feel like I wasted a lot of time doing something that I really didn’t want to do for other people. It’s definitely a lesson learned. I think I would’ve made a good lawyer, or I don’t know what else pro football player LOL. Either way I will learn how to think about me first, and to stop trying to please everyone else because….. What I want should matter to me more than what everyone else wants for me. I should know me better than anybody else.

The Purest of Dreams

I have a ton of dreams… Goals… Intentions…

My very first dream, as a child, was to actually become the first woman to play for the NFL. Now I am currently 31 years old and so out of shape. And that dream left me years ago but it was still my first dream.

I was good and I don’t mean for a girl! I have two brothers one older and one younger. And the three of us, on a team, we were definitely un-stoppable. My older brother could throw very well so he was always the quarterback and my younger brother was just fast so he was always the running back. And I had this weird fascination with hitting people. So I was always safety or on defense. This one guy got so mad at me one time because I just literally ran him over, mind you were still kids, that on the next play he literally clotheslined me! OMG that s**t hurts! I had been playing football from before I can remember and that was the first time I was like,” ahhh, that hurt!”

Again I have two brothers so they were looking like OK…. so we’re playing football and that’s our sister…. should we do something… or shouldn’t we because she’s tough but then again she’s still a girl… At the end of the day they didn’t end up having to do anything because his father was watching us play and whipped his butt for #1 having bad sportsmanship and #2 for clothes lining a girl LOL.

It wasn’t until people started telling me that I needed to be more realistic about what I wanted to do for the rest of my life that I realize, I wasn’t going to be able to play in the NFL. Mind you, I’m only 5’2″, the most I’ve ever weighed was when I was pregnant and I got up to fit 150 pounds. So I’m small and I’ve always been small and everyone always told me that if I ever got a chance to play if NFL I would more than likely get killed on my first play; which didn’t bother me. I always said I would prefer to play in one play and get killed doing what I loved then to be too afraid to just not do it.

But I guess I got over it, it took a while though. I remember any time I told anybody about that dream I would practically start crying. I saw a girl, probably on my newsfeed on Facebook, that had gotten accepted into a college on a football scholarship, OMG, she is my hero! I’m going to follow her and I hope and pray that she makes it to the NFL if that’s what she wants.

People have always told me that they have a girls team or I can play touch or flag but that’s not what I want, I wanted to be the first woman to play for the NFL! I wanted to play with the guys, with the big dogs, with the absolute toughest competition there is out there. It’s like an incredibly amazing basketball player, female, who wanted to play with the guys because that’s where the challenge is, you know?

Her name is Antoinette ‘Toni’ Harris and I am going to live vicariously through her although she doesn’t know me, she knows nothing about me, I know her and she has to get as far as she wants you for the both of our sakes. I still get sad when I think about not achieving or even pursuing that dream. I don’t know, I think it’s too late, again I’m 31 and I know they say nothing is impossible and you’re never too old to live your dream but I don’t know.

That’s sad right, I am the founder of a society called The H.A.P.P.I.E.R. Today Society and we discuss our goals and our dreams and I try to motivate and inspire and keep that positivity in peoples lives so that they can achieve any and everything they put their minds to but then, at the end of the day, my first and purest dream I unfortunately honestly feel like will never come true.
